What's Inside

Each paper is divided into three sections. Section A (Reading Skills, 20 marks) contains two passages — an unseen prose passage and a case-based factual passage with a visual input (table or chart), each with MCQs and short-answer questions. Section B (Writing Skills and Grammar, 20 marks) includes 10 grammar questions covering tenses, modals, determiners, reported speech, and subject-verb concord, along with one formal letter and one analytical paragraph (each with an OR choice). Topics Covered

Writing topics include formal letters, informal letters, and analytical paragraphs based on data and bar charts. Literature questions draw from chapters and poems in First Flight (including prose and drama) and stories from Footprints Without Feet.
