Prepare for your Class 12 CBSE Business Studies (Code 054) board exam with 15 original sample papers, each modelled on the prescribed question paper pattern: 34 questions, 80 marks, 3-hour format. 198 pages, with a step-wise answer key for every paper.

What's Inside

Each paper follows the five-section structure: Section A (20 questions, MCQ and Assertion-Reason, 1 mark each, 20 marks), Section B (5 questions, Short Answer I, 3 marks each, 15 marks), Section C (3 questions, Short Answer II, 4 marks each, 12 marks), Section D (3 questions, Long Answer I, 5 marks each, 15 marks) and Section E (3 questions, Long Answer II, 6 marks each, 18 marks). Internal choice is provided in Sections B, C, D and E, so you can practise both options during revision. The 80 marks here are the theory component; the remaining 20 come from your project.

Diagram-based questions run through the whole set, 42 of them in total, roughly three per paper. These are purpose-built process charts, comparison grids and data tables, marked "Refer to Figure", each followed by linked sub-parts. Examples include Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, the Five Functions of Management, the Staffing Process, the Communication Process, the three Financial Decisions of a firm and the 4 Ps of the Marketing Mix.

Every question is followed by a mark-scheme-aligned answer written the way examiners expect it: point form rather than paragraphs, tables for distinguish-and-compare questions, and four distinct points where the question carries four marks.

A Quick Exam Tips section sets time targets for each section, from 20 minutes for the whole of Section A to 12 minutes per question in Section E, along with a six-step plan for working through the book.

Topics Covered

All units of Part A and Part B are covered across the 15 papers. Part A, Principles and Functions of Management: Nature and Significance of Management, Principles of Management including Taylor's scientific management and Fayol's principles, Business Environment, Planning, Organising, Staffing, Directing and Controlling. Part B, Business Finance and Marketing: Financial Management including capital structure, financial planning and working capital, Financial Markets including money market instruments, primary and secondary markets and the functions of SEBI, Marketing Management including the marketing mix and promotion mix, and Consumer Protection including the rights and responsibilities of consumers.

Real companies such as Tata, Amul, Infosys, Jio and Amazon appear as educational illustrations in case-based questions, so you get practice applying concepts to businesses you already recognise.

Difficulty Levels

Papers are organised across three sets of five: Easy (Papers 1–5), Medium (Papers 6–10) and Hard (Papers 11–15). The Easy set consolidates concept recall. The Medium set moves into application. The Hard set carries the application, case study and Higher Order Thinking questions, and is best saved for the weeks closest to the exam.
