A self-study question bank designed for CBSE Class XII Accountancy students, covering all six chapters of the prescribed syllabus across both Part A and Part B.

What's Inside

The book is organised into six chapters aligned with the CBSE exam structure:

  • Chapter 1 — Accounting for Partnership Firms: Fundamentals

  • Chapter 2 — Reconstitution and Dissolution of Partnership Firm

  • Chapter 3 — Accounting for Companies (Share Capital & Debentures)

  • Chapter 4 — Financial Statements of a Company

  • Chapter 5 — Cash Flow Statement (AS-3, Indirect Method)

  • Chapter 6 — Analysis of Financial Statements

Each chapter includes 55+ questions spanning every question type tested in board exams: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Very Short Answer, Short Answer, Long Answer, Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), and Case Studies — mirroring Sections A through F of the CBSE pattern.

Key Features

Every MCQ includes a worked explanation, not just the answer. Numerical questions include complete journal entries and working notes, reflecting how CBSE awards marks for steps. HOTS and case study questions are placed at the end of each chapter and are intended for students who have completed the core content first.

Syllabus Coverage

All questions fall within the scope of the current CBSE Class XII Accountancy syllabus. Topics outside the syllabus — such as piecemeal distribution, insolvency of partners, and redemption of debentures — are not included.

Important Note

This is an independent educational resource and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to CBSE or NCERT. It is intended to supplement classroom teaching and NCERT textbooks, not replace them. Students are advised to cross-check information with the official CBSE syllabus.

MCQ explanations are the best feature

Worked explanations for every MCQ teach you why the correct answer is right rather than just what it is. This depth of MCQ explanation is something I had never seen in other Accountancy resources.

    HOTS questions are very useful

Higher-Order Thinking Skills questions at the end of each chapter push preparation beyond standard MCQ and definition-level answers. These are exactly the type of questions that appear in CBSE boards.

    Indirect method workings are clear

Indirect method starts with net profit and adjusts for non-cash items and working capital changes. Chapter 5 shows these adjustments step by step in every numerical. Finally understood the method.
