CBSE Class 12 Biology Sample Papers 2026-27
Prepare for your Class 12 CBSE Board Biology exam with 20 full-length sample papers, each structured on the standard question paper pattern — 33 questions, 70 marks, 3-hour format. All questions are original and cover the complete Class 12 Biology syllabus.
What's Inside
Each paper follows the standard five-section structure: Section A (12 MCQs + 4 Assertion-Reason, 1 mark each), Section B (5 Short Answer, 2 marks each), Section C (7 Short Answer, 3 marks each), Section D (2 Case Study questions, 4 marks each), and Section E (3 Long Answer, 5 marks each). Internal choices are provided in select questions throughout. Every paper is followed by a complete answer key with detailed model answers. Original labelled diagrams are included to test figure-based questions.
Topics Covered
Questions span the complete Class 12 Biology syllabus — Reproduction in Flowering Plants (double fertilisation, parthenocarpy), Human Reproduction (menstrual cycle, fertilisation, colostrum), Genetics and Heredity (Mendelian inheritance, sex-linked disorders, blood groups, central dogma), Molecular Biology (DNA replication, palindromic sequences, nucleosomes, reverse transcriptase, recombinant DNA technology), Evolution, Human Health and Disease, Biotechnology and its Applications, Ecology (logistic growth, resource partitioning, energy flow, 10% law, biogeochemical cycles), Biodiversity, and Environmental Issues.
Difficulty Levels
Papers are spread across three clear levels: Easy (Papers 1–6, fundamental concepts for early revision), Medium (Papers 7–14, standard CBSE-level application questions), and Hard (Papers 15–20, higher-order thinking questions for final-stage preparation).

Reviews
Molecular Biology section covers DNA replication, palindromic sequences, nucleosomes and recombinant DNA technology in detail. These are high-weightage topics and the coverage here is thorough.
Having labelled diagram questions alongside case study questions in the same paper is excellent. These are the formats students are least comfortable with and most need practice in.
Pedigree charts, sex-linked inheritance, blood group genetics — all well represented. These are marks that students either fully get or fully lose and this practice helps secure them.
The Genetics and Heredity questions are excellent. Mendelian inheritance and sex-linked disorder problems are very well framed. Solved my doubts through the detailed answer keys.
The question quality is very high and the answer keys are helpful. The overall formatting feels a bit plain but the preparation value is excellent. Definitely worth buying.
All 20 papers follow the exact CBSE pattern with 33 questions and 70 marks. The section-wise structure from MCQs to long answers is perfectly replicated. Very useful for board exam preparation.
The 10 percent law, energy pyramids, logistic growth curve questions are all framed at the right level of difficulty. Ecology carries good weightage in boards and this covers it well.
Nucleosomes, palindromic sequences, reverse transcriptase — these are the kind of specific conceptual questions that appear in boards and this material has them covered well.
Ecology questions on resource partitioning and biogeochemical cycles are well framed. These are topics where students often lose marks and this material helps plug those gaps.
Labelled diagrams in the answer keys clarified several concepts I was unsure about. Biology is a subject where visual answers matter and this material understands that.
