How much time it deserves
Ninety minutes for a hundred questions is 54 seconds each, which is comfortable by SSC standards. There is no sectional timer, so you allocate the time yourself.
Reasoning sits in the middle for speed. Faster than the fifteen numerical ability questions, slower than General Knowledge and Computer Fundamentals. A sensible budget is around twenty of the ninety minutes.
Four to six weeks of consistent practice covers the syllabus. The question types are few and none require background knowledge, which makes this the section where preparation converts to marks most reliably.
How to prepare
Work through the nine topic areas one at a time until each is automatic, then move to timed mixed sets.
Sketch non-verbal questions rather than solving them mentally. Series and pattern completion improve quickly once you draw the transformation instead of trying to see it.
Answer anything you can narrow to two options. At 0.25 per error on a one mark question, that guess is strongly in your favour.
